Annual report 2024 published
Our organisation has presented its annual report for the past year. On 20 pages, it provides information on projects, developments and the financial resources we have at our disposal. In her welcome address, former President of the German Parliament (Bundestag) Rita Süssmuth emphasises the association’s “trustworthiness and transparency in the use of funds“.
In the editorial, our association chairman Heribert Scharrenbroich emphasises our principle of “helping people to help themselves” because it “mobilises the partners’ own strengths more than imposed ‘development aid'”. He also reports on the acceptance of our organisation as a member of the “Initiative Transparente Zivilgesellschaft” (Transparent Civil Society Initiative) and the “Deutscher Spendenrat e.V.” (DSR), the approval of funding from the German Development Ministry (BMZ) and finally the presentation of the DSR’s donation certificate in May of this year following an audit by independent auditors.
